Responsibilities of fruit and vegetable exporters

Exporters of fresh fruit and vegetables for human consumption are responsible for:

  • meeting New Zealand's food safety requirements
  • meeting the destination country requirements, such as phytosanitary, food safety, and quality grade requirements
  • keeping the right records.
