Agricultural chemicals are compounds applied directly to plants, such as agricultural pesticides and insecticides. If you import, manufacture, sell, or use these, you must make sure they're registered under the Agricultural Compounds and Veterinary Medicines (ACVM) Act 1997.
If you import, manufacture, sell, or use agricultural chemicals in New Zealand, you must follow the requirements outlined in the ACVM Act 1997. Other legislation that may also apply to these products includes the Biosecurity Act 1993 and the Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996.
