Purpose and function
The ACVM Industry Liaison Group helps communicate operational issues affecting the ACVM industry.
It gives those in the industry a way to express concerns and opinions to the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI). It also helps MPI to get a detailed understanding of major issues affecting the industry.
Meetings include reporting on compliance trends, current concerns, and performance.
Industry representatives are responsible for:
- accurately reflecting the opinions and concerns of their members;
- communicating discussions and outcomes back to members.
Members of the group are MPI, Animal and Plant Health NZ and the NZ Veterinary Association.
Observers are the Environmental Protection Authority and the Veterinary Council of NZ.
