Urine and dung from farm animals cause emissions of both nitrous oxide (N2O) and ammonia (NH3), that in New Zealand's greenhouse gas inventory are both accounted for by constant emission factors, even though both are subject to variation with soil and weather conditions. This project provides new data for validating the country-specific value of 0.1 for the emissions factor FracGASM, recently adopted by NZ.
