Use the online form on this page to apply for listing of your inshore fishing vessel for the EU and GB.

  • If your vessel is registered as a Risk Management Programme or a Regulated Control Scheme Limited Processing Fishing Vessel do not complete this form. Instead complete an AP20(1) form to be listed on the Fishery Products list.
  • If your vessel freezes fish, you must be listed on the Inshore Fishing Vessel list and on the EU and GB Fishery Products lists as a freezer vessel. The form will ask if this applies to your vessel.

You can also use this online form to amend an existing inshore fishing vessel listing.

The cost for a new listing or amendment to an existing listing is $155.25 including GST. You can pay by credit or debit card or by direct credit. A tax receipt is available on request.

Applicant statement

In submitting this form, I confirm that:

  1. I am authorised to make this application as the operator of the vessel or person with legal authority to act on behalf of the operator; and
  2. The operator is resident in New Zealand within the meaning of section YD1 or YD2 of the Income Tax Act 2007; and
  3. The information supplied in this application is truthful and accurate to the best of my knowledge; and
  4. I give an assurance that the requirements of the EU and GB OMAR are met, specifically; section 1.4 Process Control, and section 6.6 Fishing Vessels Supplying Fish to Fish Premises; and
  5. I request an official assurance verifier to conduct a listing audit of the fishing vessel, for the purpose of providing a verification report to support this application. I understand I will be invoiced for this work.

In the reference details, put the code ‘CL’ and your vessel name. Also include your NZBN (if you have one).

After you submit your application

MPI Verification Services will contact you to conduct a listing audit of your vessel, as a verification report is required to support this application. You will be invoiced for this audit.

Processing time is up to 20 working days from the time we determine that your application is complete. When your application has been approved by MPI, you will be added to a published list of inshore fishing vessels for the EU and GB.
