Fermented meat products, paste and pâté must get food safety clearance
Fermented meat products, meat pastes and pâté are high regulatory interest foods, which means they require food safety clearance at the border.
This is due to the potential development and presence of Coagulase producing staphylococci, Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause food poisoning.
