31 October 2024 - Transitional period extended for fresh pineapple consignments from the Philippines and Thailand.

The final import health standard for importing fresh pineapple for human consumption was released 22 February 2024.

To ensure uninterrupted trade during the current import season, MPI has determined that pineapple consignments from the Philippines and Thailand certified under previous pineapple standards can receive clearance at the New Zealand border until 30 November 2024.

Import health standards

Tips - try using:

  • one word for precise results - for example, alligator
  • multiple words for broader results. For example, alligator meat returns documents with either alligator or meat
  • quotation marks to search a specific term - for example, 'alligator meat' returns documents with the exact phrase 'alligator meat'
Published after date must be earlier than or the same as Published before date.
Published before date must be later than or the same as Published after date.
