What are Importing Countries Phytosanitary Requirements?
To export plant or forestry products you must meet the phytosanitary (plant health) requirements of your overseas market.
Some markets have a lot of requirements published in different places. To help you, we summarise each market's requirements in documents called Importing Countries Phytosanitary Requirements (ICPRs).
We publish ICPRs for:
- plants and plant products
- forestry products, including wooden packaging materials
Overseas markets often change their requirements. We rely on them to tell us about updates or changes.
After reading the ICPRs for your overseas market and product, check with your importer to make sure you have the most up to date information.

If you can't find the one you need, ask your importer what you need to do.

Ask your importer or an Independent Verification Agency (IVA). Note that IVAs usually charge for their services.
