Describes the stock assessment and management procedure evaluations of lobsters in CRA 5, using the length-based multi-stock model, MSLM, fitted to catch, puerulus settlement, CPUE, size frequency and tagging data. MCMC simulations were used to explore parameter uncertainty. Current biomass is assessed to be well above Bmin, Bmsy and Bref. "Plateau step" management procedures were extensively tested, with final candidate rules presented to the National Rock Lobster Management Group.
