The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is reviewing whether the minimum cod pot mesh size in BCO5 should be increased from 48 mm to 54 mm. This review reflects recent recommendations by industry and the Blue Cod 5 Management Group (BCO5MG), and is supported by MPI’s Southern Inshore Working Group.
