• extend the use of the food additive mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids (INS 471) as a glazing agent for fresh fruits and vegetables;
• permit the sale and use of food derived from a food produced using gene technology: corn line DP23211;
• permit beta-amylase from soybean (Glycine max) as a processing aid (enzyme) in starch processing for the manufacture of maltose syrup; and
• correct typographical errors and formatting issues, and update references, in the Food Standards Code.
