This report includes a description of all New Zealand lookdown dory fisheries catches from 1999–00 to 2011–12, for LDO 1 (West coast and East Coast North Island) and LDO 3 (Chatham Rise and Sub-Antarctic). It describes CPUE analyses for the main fishery areas on the East Coast South Island/Chatham Rise, Sub-Antarctic, and WCSI regions, a summary of observer size frequency data; a summary of trawl survey biomass and size frequency data for the Chatham Rise, Sub-Antarctic, and WCSI; and a review of stock structure. It makes recommendations on future data requirements and methods for monitoring the stocks.
