The National Exotic Forest Description (NEFD) provides a detailed description of New Zealand’s planted production forests. The report includes detailed area age class data, species distribution, geographical location, and planting and harvesting statistics. The report is intended to be used for policy advice, infrastructure planning, and to meet a range of international reporting obligations.
