This document contains policy proposals for inclusion in the Food Safety Law Reform Bill. Most proposals relate to implementing the recommendations of the WPC Inquiry that need legislation change, as agreed by the Government. Some additional proposals to enhance the food safety regulatory system are included. The purpose of the document is to seek public submissions on the proposals and their likely impacts, to help officials develop final proposals for the Bill.
