The process for changing your company name or premises address
Your country listings will be affected by changing your company name or premises address. To do this, there is a process you will need to follow.
Changing premises details can take a long time. The time taken will depend on the specific listing. Some countries can process changes faster than others. You will need to work with your verifier before completing your application.
Check you have updated your RMP (risk management programme) or RCS (regulated control scheme) with your new details. You need to update the registration before changing your country listing.

Follow the steps to change your country listing details
1. Complete an application
Complete an application form to change your name or address details.

Choose your priority market or product
If you export to multiple markets, you will need to choose a priority market. If you export more than one product to that market, you will also need to select a product to prioritise.
You may not be able to trade using your new details until your priority market has approved the change. Once approval comes through, you can export products for that list. But you won't be able to export products that come under any other country listing. You can start exporting to other markets again as approval comes through for each market.
The wait time for a response is different for every market. In some cases, a market will approve a listing in weeks. For other markets it can take months or longer.
Your verifier can advise you on the impact your decision could have.
2. Verifier check
Get your verifier to endorse your application form. If you are changing the location of your premises, they will need to audit the new premises as part of your application.
3. Submit application to the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI)
Once your verifier has endorsed your application form, they will submit your application to MPI.
4. MPI submits your application to the overseas market
MPI will process your application form and submit your request to your chosen market. MPI will send a notification advising that the application is waiting for overseas approval.
5. The market makes a decision
Your country listing will be updated once your change has been accepted for your priority market.
Once your change has been accepted by your priority market, the change for other markets you have applied for will begin.
You won't be able to export to any other markets until you receive notification from MPI to let you know when you are approved to export your product to other markets again.
