You can access MPI Trade Certification through MyMPI. We launched both systems on 25 November 2024.

The new Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) Trade Certification system will replace many of MPI's existing certification systems for exports and imports.
MPI Trade Certification will be a single, integrated, and digital trade certification system. It will be more flexible than current systems and more user-friendly for businesses and exporters.
From 25 November 2024, you need to use MPI Trade Certification if you are applying for these types of export certificates:
Otherwise, continue to use your current process for applying for export certificates from MPI.

Replacing our trade certification systems
You access MPI Trade Certification through MyMPI. MyMPI is a secure online tool where users can access some MPI services using a RealMe login. There are a few steps to follow before you can start using MPI Trade Certification.
You'll need a RealMe account to access MyMPI. If you don't have a RealMe account, you can create one.
You'll be asked for some personal information to set up your MyMPI account. You'll also be able to link your account with your business.
If your business has requested wine assurances, free sale certificates, or organic assurances for exports to Great Britain within the last 12 months, your business will already be set up in MPI. You can also search for your business by its New Zealand Business Number (NZBN).
If you still can’t find your business in MyMPI, there is a link to an online form that you can use to tell us your business details.
Once your business is set up in the system and you have your MyMPI account, you'll be able to request access to MPI Trade Certification through MyMPI.
We'll send you confirmation by email when it's approved. You'll then be able to access MPI Trade Certification from within MyMPI.
