Exporting beef to Australia under a food control plan

To export beef or beef products to Australia under a food control plan (FCP) you must:

• be a registered exporter under the Animal Products Act 1999 (this applies to all operators who export animal products to other countries, with or without an export certificate)
• apply to MPI for approval – complete the FA3 application form and return it to MPI.

If you need to change your details after submitting the FA3 form, use the FA4 form.

Australia OMAR amendment history

Under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement (TTMRA) many New Zealand origin processed products can enter Australia without official certification. The Australia OMAR contains further information on animal products that require certification.

Beef or beef products produced under a food control plan can be exported to Australia under certain conditions. Refer to the information in the animal products section above.
