Section 20(3)(a) of the Animal Products Act 1999 (“the Act”) empowers the Director-General of MPI to waive or modify the requirement that an application to register a risk management programme must be accompanied by an independent evaluation report where the proposed programme is fully based on a template, model or code of practice approved under section 12(3A) of the Act.
