Complete this form if you transport and handle animal material and animal product for human or animal consumption that is intended for export with an official assurance.  Unless covered by a registered risk management programme, registration of a transport/depot/export loading facility operator is required in accordance with Animal Products Notice: Regulated Control Scheme -Transportation and Handling of Products for Export with an Official Assurance

Use this form to register as a transport/depot/ELF operator for the first time, add depots/ELFs to your registration, change your registration information, voluntarily suspend your registration, or surrender your registration. 

Your registration will be valid for 3 years. Before your renewal date, you will receive an email with instructions on what you need to do to renew.

The cost for a new listing or a renewal is $155.25 including GST. The cost for any addition of depots or ELFs or voluntary suspension for a period of time is $77.63 including GST. You can pay by credit or debit card or by direct credit. A tax receipt is available on request.

Frequently used terms

Transport: any transhipment or handling that is incidental to the loading, unloading, and transhipment of goods in the course of a journey and holding and handling of relevant goods at an export loading facility.

Depot: a facility that is used to tranship relevant goods in the course of a journey and includes a vehicle docking facility (VDF)

Export loading facility (ELF): a wharf or other facility from which sealed transportation units of relevant goods are loaded onto vessels for export and includes associated facilities.

After you submit your application

Processing time is up to 20 working days from the time we determine that your application is complete. When your application has been approved by MPI, you will be added to a published list of Transport, Depot, and Export Loading Facility Operators
