About our bulletin
We publish the bulletin every 2 weeks.
It is for food business operators to keep up with current food safety issues and emerging food safety risks.
In each bulletin, we:
- summarise reports that may signal future risks to food safety
- track the progress of factors that could lead to new food safety risks.
Each bulletin also has information from overseas regulatory, industry, or media sources. Topics include food safety notifications, food recalls, and food safety incidents.
Some events may be under active management by the regulator or industry here.
There may also be lessons learned from recent activities by New Zealand Food Safety and food businesses we have worked with.
Food business operators are encouraged to think about:
- implications of this information for the future
- any required changes to their food safety controls.
