Update - 29 July
On 27 July 2016, Prime Foods NZ Ltd recalled 50g packs of its smoked salmon slices. The recall was extended on 29 July 2016 to also include:
- Prime Smoke brand Smoked Salmon Shavings (100g)
- Prime Smoke brand Smoked Salmon Mixed Pieces (500g)

Consumer advice
Customers are asked to check the batch and date markings on the product. The affected product should not be consumed. There have been no reports of illness, however if you have consumed any of these products and have any concerns about your health or about illness, seek medical advice.
Customers should return the products to their retailer for a full refund.
