3 February 2017: Seafood Harbour is recalling its Pacific Oysters (pottle and half shell oysters) sold from Seafood Harbour on or after 17 January 2017 as the product may be affected by a recent norovirus contamination event in the Mahurangi Harbour.

Consumer advice
Affected products should not be consumed. There have been associated reports of norovirus illness in New Zealand. Norovirus gastroenteritis generally presents with vomiting followed by diarrhoea. People who believe they have eaten affected oysters to see their GP if symptoms are severe or persistent or if they are unable to keep hydrated.
Customers should return the products to their retailer for a full refund.
