Specifies requirements for recognised agencies and verifiers and others; except for dairy processors, those exporting live animals, or working with germplasm.

This notice applies to any registered exporter who exports infant formula products or formulated supplementary foods for young children to any countries that do not require official assurances for the export of such animal products.

This Notice puts in place criteria for certain New Zealand origin label claims on retail-ready infant formula, follow-on formula, and formulated supplementary foods for young children intended for export. The criteria are contained in Part 3. The criteria are necessary to support regulators' and consumers' ability to identify authentic New Zealand products in overseas markets.

The prime purpose of this Notice is establishing a regulated control scheme for the control of specified substances in food producing animals, which is necessary or desirable to meet overseas market access requirements that have been notified or made available under section 60 of the Act.
