The Animal Health Laboratory (AHL) offers over 450 tests in bacteriology, virology, immunology and molecular diagnostic testing. We test a range of animals for diseases, including pets, livestock, aquatic animals (fish, molluscs and crustaceans), zoo animals and wildlife.

The lab's business hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Accreditation
The Animal Health Laboratory is accredited to International Standard ISO/IEC 17025, and the MPI Recognised Laboratory Programme.
Our tests follow the international standards and procedures of the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) and Australian and New Zealand standard procedures.
