- Inclusion of supplementary feed in the Agriculture Inventory Model for dairy, sheep and beef
- Improving estimates of within-year dairy cattle population change
Two papers were presented to the panel for their information:
- Corrections to the inventory model
- Process of model migration from Excel to R
Outcomes from the 2022 meeting
The panel recommended:
- the refinement of nitrogen leaching for grazing systems and for nitrogen applied via synthetic nitrogen fertilisers
- the inclusion of supplementary feeds for dairy, sheep and beef
- improved modelling to estimate within-year dairy cattle population change.
