Points to note
- Do not complete this form if you are taking trophies to the European Union, Great Britain, South Africa, Mexico or any other countries that require trophies to be processed in an approved taxidermist premises. Instead, ask the taxidermist for them to arrange certification.
- If you will be taking your trophy or hide overseas in your personal baggage, you must complete and submit this online form at least 1 working day before you plan to collect the certificate from our Auckland or Christchurch offices. If collecting from an airport or other location you must complete the form at least 3-4 working days before you need to collect it.
- Certificates can be issued only after your hunt is finished and once you have confirmed the items/quantities you are taking.
- The fee for administration and issue of an export certificate is NZ$50.00. To courier certificates to airports for collection (or elsewhere) costs an extra NZ$10, making the total NZ$60.00. Payment instructions will appear after you've completed the online declaration form. After you have paid, forward your payment receipt to us at certs.chch@mpi.govt.nz
